About

Established by lawyer Helen Sunderland-Cohen in 2017 out of a personal passion for the arts and new ideas, Lucet lights the way for pioneering and creative commercial ventures. Recent clients include an award-winning animation studio, a documentary film producer, a blue-chip contemporary art gallery, and a private collection of antique cartography.

Helen has over 15 years’ experience as a trusted advisor to clients ranging from Fortune100 companies to start-ups in Europe, China, the UK and the US. She consults for founders, creators and entities on business ventures, with her own investment activity providing a unique perspective.

Helen holds a BA in History & East Asian Studies from Bryn Mawr College, a JD from the University of Washington, and a Master’s in Museum Studies from Harvard’s Extension School. She serves on the board of trustees of the City & Guilds School of Art in London, and on the boards of a Swiss family office and the Richard Taittinger Gallery in New York. Helen is qualified as a lawyer in New York and the UK. Based in London, she has lived in Switzerland, Australia, the US and China, and regularly spends time in Israel.

Recent Projects

  • Activating and managing a cartographic collection of international importance, including digitisation and cataloguing, building an online platform, exhibitions, acquisitions, and third-party collaborations.
  • Consulting for a leading UK-based contemporary art gallery in exploring and defining a strategy and legal step-plan for post-Covid restructuring and leadership succession.
  • Helping a Chinese artist enter the global market by curating and digitising three series of works, managing artist interviews and photography, placing the artist with a UK gallery, launching a bilingual website and Instagram presence, post-sales liaison.
  • Representing the founder of a Chinese film and VR production studio in negotiating a distribution deal for a documentary film with US and European agents.
